Pakistan task team reviews integrated immunization and polio eradication progress

The National Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) Task Team reviewed progress on integrated immunization interventions during a meeting in Islamabad on 16 October. Dr. Altaf Bosan, the National Technical Focal Person for Polio Eradication, chaired the session at the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC).
The meeting focused on improving routine immunization, identifying zero-dose children, and addressing service delivery gaps in high-risk areas. A proposed five-layer monitoring framework was discussed to strengthen field oversight, improve data quality, enhance outreach services, and ensure timely corrective action.
Bosan stressed the need to make effective use of existing PEI resources. Bosan underscored the importance of integrated efforts to expand access to essential vaccines.
