Elizabeth Holmes claims The New York Times misquoted her during California interview

Elizabeth Holmes claims The New York Times misquoted her during a conversation held outside her rented beach home in California. Amy Chozick spoke about the dispute to the newspaper after the interview.
During the walk, Holmes discussed the specific character she constructed at Theranos, which featured a deep voice, red lipstick, and black turtlenecks. The reporter was not recording audio at the time and was only jotting down notes by hand.
Chozick did not keep the notebook during the exchange. Holmes did not contest the statement that her public persona was not authentic, saying, "Maybe people picked up on that not being authentic, since it wasn’t."
While the pair were walking, Evans was at the gym. Chozick said, "It’s a fair question."
