Nithya Raman accuses Mayor Karen Bass of claiming credit for film incentives

Nithya Raman called out Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass for taking credit for the expansion of the state film and TV incentive. Rick Chavez Zbur authored the bill that expanded the state incentive and supported Bass for re-election.
Chavez Zbur also appeared at the NBC4 debate last week. Raman accused Bass of being delinquent on the issue during a plan for Hollywood she rolled out on 21 April.
The proposal from Raman included a push for unlimited state tax credits. Bass stated she supported uncapped tax credits on 1 May.
The Writers Guild of America West endorsed Raman, whose husband works as a TV writer. Bass maintains the backing of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, the Hollywood Teamsters, the American Federation of Musicians Local 47, and Laborers Local 300.
