Shelley Blond to attend Tomb Raider 30th anniversary event in London

Shelley Blond will attend a 30th anniversary event for Tomb Raider in London on a Sunday. Blond auditioned for the role of Lara Croft in 1995.
Core Design and Eidos created the original game and the character. The developers aimed to produce a female version of Indiana Jones or a female James Bond.
Tomb Raider first launched in Europe on 24 October 1996 for the Sega Saturn. Blond has spent 30 years working in voiceover and hosted the show Room Raiders.
She also presented for CITV, Bravo, and Trouble TV in the United Kingdom. Her agency currently holds contracts that do not involve artificial intelligence.
