107 Sindh agricultural professionals depart for training in China

One hundred and seven agricultural professionals from Sindh will undergo training at the Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University in China. This group is part of a broader Prime Minister’s Initiative designed to provide short-term training for 1,000 Pakistani agricultural experts.
Dr. Nasir Mahmood Khan, a member of the Higher Education Commission, briefed the participants during an orientation session. The Prime Minister personally intervened to ensure that the quota allocated for Sindh remained intact.
Before departing, the trainees completed a preparatory crash course at Sindh Agriculture University in Tandojam. The orientation focused on practical knowledge, modern technologies, and hands-on training applications.
Exposure to China’s advanced agricultural practices aims to foster innovation and increase productivity in Pakistan. The itinerary includes tours of laboratories and university campuses to review training facilities.
These tours also serve to explore potential capacity building and technology transfer for the Pakistani agricultural sector.
