Two measles vaccine doses required to provide full infant protection
Babies require two doses of the measles vaccine to achieve full protection against the disease. In regions where measles is widespread, the initial injection should occur when a child is approximately 9 months old.
Other countries should administer the first dose between 12 and 15 months of age. A second dose must be provided later during childhood to complete the vaccination cycle.
